Cathedral Echo. Irvine/Sutherland. 2001. Parentage: Seidl #141 x Rosalind Elsie Franklin. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. Light purple to lavender with blackish flares. Large semi-double form flowers exhibit excellent ruffling and form. Foliage is deep green, of heavy substance, and wide. Superior plant habits. Reliable grower in Wisconsin to 3.5′ x 3.5′. One of the best of the Irvine/Sutherland plants, in our opinion. Seed and pollen fertility. Grown from seed sent to New Zealand in the 1990s from Bill Seid’s hybridizing program. Ships in late September to mid-October. AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
