Daedalus

Daedalus. (Father of Icarus) Daphnis.  1995.  Burgundy red flower, good grower.  Much like Boreas, but flowers are more rounded and of  a slightly different red.  Easy grower, Daedalus becomes a large plant that does not lose many stems to cold weather as easily as Boreas.  Foliage is often rimmed in red early in the growing season and is more refined than many other red Daphnis cultivars.  Reportedly fertile, we have not produced seed thus far.  Advanced generation lutea hybrid. (Thunderbolt x self).  Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
