Daredevil.  Saunders.  1948.  F1 lutea hybrid.  Fine bright lusterless garnet-red single. Large flowers with long spreading petals. Plants have beautiful finely cut fern-like foliage and are quite unique.  A vigorous grower to 4 feet in height in Wisconsin.  Typically 4 flowers per stem.  Blooms cascade over the bush.  One of my favorite older hybrids. In 2023 we were able to view large specimens of this plant in the Syracuse, New York area and plants were spectacular, providing us with a view of plants in a zone warmer than our area of Wisconsin – OUTSTANDING!  A superior collectors plants, but easily grown.  Ships in late September to mid October.    AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
