Forged in Fire (pending registration)

Forged in Fire.  Bremer. 2026. Lutea Hybrid.  Parentage: (‘KC Red’ x NB-SH37 = ‘Sedona’ x ‘Autumn Harvest’).  Seedling #NB-SH94.  Large semi-double to nearly double flowers are warm red with pink undertones upon opening and then fade to pink-red. 2-3 buds per stem.  Numerous petals are ruffled and notched.  Stigmas are light pinkish-red.  Sheath is deep dusky red and a filaments are dark dusky red, tipped in white.  Small flares are present, but are not visible. Pollen and seed fertile.   Carriage is often outward and flowers have a slight lutea hook, but do not face downward.  Plants are huge husky growers and are exceptionally vigorous.  Foliage is wide and deep green.  Plants produce many stems and flowers annually.   An excellent performer which shows off its beautiful large blooms well.  Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
