Garden Fairy. Franklin Chow and Angela Fuhui Chow.  2013.  Suffruticosa.  Parentage unknown, from open pollinated garden seed.  White semi-double flower. Early midseason flowering. Petals are shallowly notched and average 4-5 cm in width. Flowers are 17-19 cm in overall size (7 inches), one per stem. An average of five cream-colored smooth carpels with cream stigmas surrounded by a well-developed sheath, also cream. Pollen bearing stamens are cream colored. Produces seeds. No fragrance. Green foliage with purple-bronze wash on outer third of leaves, especially so in early growth. A beautiful selection from the Franklin and Angela’s extensive hybridizing program. First time released.  Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
