Gold Sovereign.  Saunders. 1949.  F1 Lutea Hybrid.  Perfect rosettes, semi-double, small blooms, clear yellow.  Flares small and dark; heart otherwise all gold-and-cream. Filaments fine, uneven lengths, Anthers “naked.” Stigmas cream; sheath cream.  Beautiful foliage.  A collector’s plant that is rarely available.  This is a very unusual lutea hybrid due to the small, well-shaped flowers, and will not be confused with any other lutea hybrids.  One of our favorites – cute as a button!  Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
