Golden Vanitie

Golden Vanitie. Saunders. 1960. F1 lutea hybrid. Saunders’ Roman Gold group.  Seedling #14286.  The small single flowers are light yellow with a small border of pink on the petals.  Stigmas are medium pink, and the sheath is red.  Stigmas pink.  Filament red.  No pollen or seed is noted.  Foliage is finely cut.  A small plant and excellent for smaller gardens.  Rarely available. Part of the Woody Peony Preservation Project. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
