Goldfinch (2 year graft)

Goldfinch. Saunders. 1948. Seedling #: 16541.  Medium-sized, clear light yellow flowers with no flares.  A beautiful plant and one of our favorites for abundance of bloom and ease of culture.   A very rare Saunders F1 Lutea Hybrid, which is part of our Saunders Woody Peony Preservation Project.  Distinct foliage is finely cut with sharp sawtooth edges. Highly recommended.  Ships in late September to mid-October. These are 2 year old grafted plants.  While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden.  Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies.
