Guardian of the Monastery. Gratwick. 1959. Likely a suffrucosa-rockii ancestory hybrid. Large light pinkish-lavender single to semi-double blooms that have petals that are faded to white near the outer half. Large maroon flares.  An elegant flower carried on tall plants. Plants are somewhat slower growing than many Suffruticosa Group cultivars.  Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
