Hana-daigin. (Magnificent Flower). Chugai Nursery, Japan. 1910. Japanese suffruticosa. Deep brilliant coral-red semi-double to double flowers. Petals have many tiny waves on the ends. Red stigmas, sheath and stamens. Floriferous and fast growing. Fertile both ways. Blooms in the early part of the woody peony season. Grow to 3.4 feet in Wisconsin and is a lower spreading plant. Ships in late September to mid October.
