Harvest (2 year graft)

Harvest.  Saunders. Semi-double flowers of tawny, ripe grain to amber coloration.  Petals prettily frilled and edged rose. Flares crimson. Filaments light reddish. Stigmas pink, on 3-4 small carpels. Sheath lilac. Foliage bronzy adorns plants which can become large over time.   This plant is part of the Saunder Woody Preservation Project and is considered rare.  Plant are of easy culture.   Much like Damask, another similar Saunders lutea hybrid.   Excellent foliage.  No fertility noted to date.  Ships late September to mid October. These are 2 year old grafted plants.  While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden.  Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies.
