Ice Age.  Saunders/Seidl.  1996.  F1 lutea hybrid.  White-cream with brushed pink flares. A genetic recombination plant from ‘Age of Gold’ selected by Bill Seidl many years ago. Same flower and plant form as ‘Age of Gold’.   Excellent vigorous growth and a wonderful shrub both in and out of bloom. Produces many ground shoots.   Plants are easily divided after 4 to 6 years.  Same seed fertility as ‘Age of Gold’.   Note:  Plants of this type were once thought to be mutations, but geneticists have recently noted these are the result of genetic recombination.   These recombinants may further recombine, sometimes reverting to the original expression.  That said, this plant is typically stable.  Ships in late September to mid October. Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
