Ice Storm. Smithers. 1992. P. rockii influence hybrid.. Large, pure white single blossoms are distinguished by a generous boss of long stamens. No flares. Stamens, stigmas and sheath are all white. Petals are lightly ruffled and recurve somewhat. Deep green foliage. Strong stems that are very hardy here in Wisconsin. To about 4′ in height in Wisconsin. Fertile. Requires a well ventilated planting area to remain healthy. Parentage not known. Ships in late September to mid October. Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
