Iroji-mon (2 year graft)

Iroji-mon. (Gate of Iroji or Gate of Colored Fabric). Before 1937. Japanese suffruticosa cultivar. Large semi-double flowers with excellent ruffling, notched and fringed petals. Light pink stigmas and sheath. Plants carry flowers high on stems that are presented to perfection. One of the very finest and showiest of all pink Japanese origin suffruticosa cultivars. Plants are relatively slow-growing, but productive, unique, and beautiful. Very hardy stems. Seldom available.  Fertile both ways. Ships in late September to mid-October. These are 2 year old grafted plants.  While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden.  Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies.b
