Jacks Point. Irvine/Sutherland. 2001. Advanced generation lutea hybrid selected in New Zealand. From seed sent to New Zealand and hybridized by Bill Seidl in the 1990’s. Flowers are light cream with a light pinkish overlay which is most evident at the wavy petal edges.  Seedling # 468/5.  Excellent show flower that won reserve champion at the 2019 Ames, Iowa APS Exhibition and Flower Show. Outstanding plant habits and rare.   One of the finest of the New Zealand selections.   Easily grown plants with excellent foliage.  Parentage:  Garden Sunshine x Rosalind Elsie Franklin.  Jack’s Point  is a village close to Queenstown on the South Island of New Zealand.  The town is named after a local Māori station-hand, Jack Tewa, who on August 9, 1862, during a storm on Lake Whakatipu, dramatically rescued a European by the name of Mitchell. Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
