Koka-mon. (Gate of Koku). Chugai Nursery, Japan. 1932. Unregistered historic Japanese suffruticosa. Deep mahogany red-purple semi-double to double with frills, ruffled and folds and contrasting white stigmas. Fertile both ways. One of the showiest of the dark Japanese suffruticosas and much sought after. Plants are measured growers and typically do not become large. Ships in late September to mid October. AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
