Mimi. Chow, Bernard. Unregistered garden named seedling (Chow #I123). Advanced generation lutea hybrid. Mimi has many petaled semi-double violet-purple flowers that are lavishly ruffled. Plants remain short (28 inches) due to winter kill of stems in Wisconsin, but bloom profusely each spring from basal shoots. The large flowers are carried on sturdy stems and face upward. Seed and pollen fertility with compatible mates. Excellent. Ships in late September to mid October.
