Peach Festival. Seidl/Bremer. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. (Brassy Lady x #65). #65=Daphnis #223 x Zephyrus. Large cream and peach single to semi-double flowers carried on long stems. Red stamens, cream stigmas and sheath. Petals are notched at center. Foliage is beautiful and deep blue-green. Produces long stems that often freeze back during winter, but produces good ground growth that blooms yearly. A second flush of flowers are carried on very long stems, a couple weeks after the first blooms. Plants easily reach 4 feet in Wisconsin and perhaps more if winter temperatures do not kill stems. Late emergence and growth in spring avoids frost damage to plants. Foliage is deeply dissected with narrow lobes and more rounded ends than typical. Foliage is somewhat glaucus. Fertile both ways. Distributed earlier under seedling number and ‘Peach Festival’. Excellent. Ships in late September to mid October. AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
