Peach Festival. Seidl/Bremer. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. (Brassy Lady x #65). #65=Daphnis #223 x Zephyrus. Large cream and peach single to semi-double flowers are carried on long stems. Red stamens, cream stigmas, and a sheath. Petals are notched at the center. Foliage is beautiful and deep blue-green. Produces long stems that often freeze back during winter, but it produces good ground growth that blooms yearly. A second flush of flowers is carried on very long stems, a couple of weeks after the first blooms. Plants easily reach 4 feet in Wisconsin and perhaps more if winter temperatures do not kill stems. Late emergence and growth in spring avoids frost damage to plants. Foliage is deeply dissected with narrow lobes and more rounded ends than typical. Foliage is somewhat glaucous. Fertile both ways. Distributed earlier under the seedling number and ‘Peach Festival’. Excellent. Ships in late September to mid-October. AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
