Placid Charm. Irvine/Sutherland. 2001. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. Seedling # 527/3. Parentage: SH121 x ‘Rosalind Elsie Franklin’, (SH121 is SH8 x SH15, SH8 is Age of Gold x D223, SH15 is Reath A198 x Chinese Dragon). From seed sent to New Zealand in the 1990s by Bill Seidl. Pinkish-rose red flowers are semi-double with dark flares. Elegantly ruffled and well displayed on sturdy stems. Typical, healthy foliage for a Lutea Hybrid. Very good and seldom available.
