Prize Gift. Irvine/Sutherland. 2001. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. Seedling # 232/18. Grown from seed produced from Bill Seid’s lutea hybridizing program and selected in Australia. Flowers are semi-double to double and are bright yellow with red touches at the center. Highly ruffled petals make for a full-looking flower. No fertility noted to date, but likely. Parentage: SH35 x SH91, (SH35 is Golden Era x Chinese Dragon, SH91 is Golden Era x SH15, SH15 is Reath A198 x Chinese Dragon). Ships in late September to mid-October. AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
