Purple Robe.  Irvine/Sutherland.  2001.  Advanced generation lutea hybrid.  Grown from seed produced from Bill Seid’s Lutea Hybrid hybridizing program and selected in New Zealand. The Semi-double flowers are light purple (over cream base) with a lighter edge and have dark purple-maroon flares. Seedling # 524/10.  Excellent, healthy, growing plant that is a productive bloomer.  To 3.5 feet in height by 4 feet in width (Wisconsin).  Fertility has been tested to date.  Parentage:  (Seidl #135 x Rosalind Elsie Franklin). Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
