Rhea.  Daphnis.  1995.  Lutea hybrid.  Flowers are semi-double and a strong, bright pink, with dark maroon basal flares and filaments.  Petals have good vertical spacing, creating a wonderful floral display.  Plants are strong growers expressing excellent dark green foliage.  Better than average stem hardiness allows this plant to grow to 4 feet in height in Wisconsin.  No fertility to date. Rhea=Wife of Kronos, mother of Zeus.  Parentage:  BC3,  D-127 x S-250 (Captain’s Concubine).  Seedling # D-357.  Rare in commerce and should be more widely distributed for its exceptional flowers and plant habits. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
