Right Royal.  Saunders.  1950.  F1 lutea hybrid.  Parentage unknown.  The rather full semi-double flowers are cream overlaid and veined in bright pink.   Petals have short maroon basal flares and filaments based with the same color.  Floral presentation is low, but acceptable.   Plants are short growing to 28 inches in Wisconsin and a bit wider.  Stems are often killed by cold winter temperatures, but groud shoots reliably grow to flower in the spring.   This is one of the last Lutea Hybrids to commence growth, thus patience in the spring is required.  Growth and resulting deep blue green foliage arrives later than most other lutea hybrid cultivars, as do blooms.  Superior disease resistance.  A real eye catcher that can be grown in a somewhat smaller space than many woody peonies. Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.

Color: Lavender-Pink-Coral
FLOWER CHARACTERISTICS: Semi-double
