Rimpoh. (Phoenix of China). 1925. Japan. Japanese suffruticosa. Semi-double, purple-red with great form. The large flowers are well ruffled and carriage is upright. Purple stigmas, maroon stamens and sheath. Unfurling flowers look like rose buds. Excellent medium matte green foliage. Good winter stem hardiness and annually puts on a great show. Requires a very well drained garden site. Fertile both ways. Ships in late September to mid October. AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
