Rising Sun. Irvine/Sutherland. 2001. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. Grown from Bill Seidl seed sent to New Zealand in the 1990’s. The lightly ruffled semi-double to double flowers are bright yellow. Greater ruffling is expressed in the central petals. Petals have red flares at their bases. Plants reach 3 feet in height in our garden. Fertility is unknown at this time. Seedling # 460/4. Parentage: Seidl #21 x Alice in Wonderland. Ships in late September to mid October. AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
