Royal Albatross.  Irvine/Sutherland.  2001.  Advanced generation lutea hybrid.   From Bill Seidl seed sent to New Zealand in the 1990’s.  The large single to semi-double flowers are cream with light purple tinges to petals with black flares.   Petals are notched and ruffled at outer edges.  Good flower carriage on vigorous growing plants.   May lose stems in winter, but reliably regrow to bloom in the spring.   To  a height of  3 1/2 feet in Wisconsin and slightly greater width.  Seedling # 524/4.  Seed fertility noted, but no data on pollen.  Parentage:  Seidl #135 x Rosalind Elsie Franklin. Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
