Royal Robe.  Klehm.  1995.  American suffruticosa.  Royal purple, semi-double tree peony.  A seedling raised by Toichi Domoto.  It has good substance, and is fragrant. Large blooms have internal petal ruffling. Excellent stem strength, 3 ft. plus or minus in Wisconsin.  One bud per stem.  Fertile seed producer and pollen.  An excellent purple-violet selection.  Foliage is large and deep blue-green.  Ships late September to mid October.
