Sahohime.  Japan.  Historic Japanese suffruticosa cultivar.   The highly ruffled semi-double flowers are a soft blush pink upon opening.  Petal bases are deeper pink.  Stigmas and sheath are bright pink.  Flowers are ornate and large.  Plants may reach 3 1/2 feet in Wisconsin, with a similar width.  Requires well-drained soils to remain healthy.  Seldom offered. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
