Satin Rouge

Satin Rouge.  Lemoine.  1926.  F1 lutea hybrid. Beautiful, large, heavy, full double of rich reddish-coral tone that overlays a cream base.  Flowers tend to hang downward and into the foliage, like many of the old double French hybrids.  Foliage is very large, wide, and of deep blue-green.  Side buds are produced.  Plants are of easy culture and are very fast growers.  No fertility.  Medium height mound formed plants.  It may have a different plant habit in warmer climates, where stems are not damaged due to harsh winter conditions.  Parentage unknown. Flowers are excellent candidates for floating in a shallow bowl bouquet. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
