Shimane Chojuraku (2 year graft)

Shimane Chojuraku.  (long life). Japan.  Unregistered historic Japanese suffruticosa cultivar.  Large lavender flowers with dark basal flares.  Presentation is an upright display of flowers to perfection.  Plants become large with numerous large flowers.  Flower buds may be subject to spring freeze damage after growth has begun (below 25°F).  Excellent flower and plant.  Fertile both ways. Ships in late September to mid-October. These are 2 year old grafted plants.  While plants are relatively small, they have youthful vigor and make wonderful additions to the garden.  Plant and grow them as you would older woody peonies.
