Much used in hybridizing for its diverse outcomes in offspring and fertility. A gorgeous flower. Plants are not as vigorous as other Japanese suffruticosas, but is highly regarded by collectors. Fertile both ways and has been used to produce lutea hybrids. Name translates to: ‘New Heaven and Earth’. American Peony Society Gold Medal winner – 1994. Ships in late September to mid October.
