Show Day. Irvine/Sutherland. 2001. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. Grown from seed produced from Bill Seid’s Lutea hybridizing program and selected in New Zealand. The semi-double to double flowers are rose red with ruffled petals near the center. Seedling # 280/1. Parentage: (Seidl #21 x Brassy Lady). Plants reach 3.5 feet in height and 4 feet in width in Wisconsin – perhaps larger in climates with less rigorous conditions in winter. Excellent and quite rare in commerce. Ships in late September to mid-October. AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
