Southern Beauty

Southern Beauty.  Irvine/Sutherland.  2001.  Advanced generation lutea hybrid.  Grown from seed produced from Bill Seid’s Lutea hybridizing program and selected in New Zealand. The large double yellow flowers have an orange and red overlay.  Interior petals twist and turn, creating a full, nearly ball-shaped bloom.  The foliage is medium-dark green and well-dissected.  Plants produce a beautiful display when in bloom and are a great landscape plant for the remainder of the year. Seedling #111/1.  Parentage:  (Seidl #35 x Autumn Harvest). Seed fertility with compatible partners. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
