Souvenir de Lothar Parlasca. Schiewe. 2007. Lutea hybrid. Yellow single with maroon basal flares. Foliage is made up of many small rounded leaflets that are often seen in the rockii group plants. Reported as a rockii hybrid, but plants bloom and behave as a lutea hybrid. Furthermore, stem hardiness is characteristic of a lutea hybrid, which are often killed to the ground in cold winter temperatures.   This plant quickly produces numerous ground shoots and becomes a large clump.  Grows to 3 feet in height by 4 feet in width in Wisconsin, likely taller in less rigorous climates.  The rather unusual foliage is within the range of that of lutea hybrids, therefore, along with the other traits it is believed to be a lutea hybrid.  Foliage may go dormant earlier than many lutea hybrids.  No fertility. Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
