Taihai. Japan. Before 1928. Unregistered historic Japanese suffruticosa cultivar. A large full double pink flower with rosette formations within the petal masses. Outer petals a light pink and inner petals dark. Medium green elegant foliage. Plants may reach 5 feet in Wisconsin. Excellent plant with superior display. Not widely distributed and deserving of much greater attention. Seed fertility. Ships in late September to mid October. AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
