Thunderbolt

Thunderbolt.  Saunders.  1948.  F1 lutea hybrid.  Deep red single that opens flat and has nicely ruffled petals.  Pinkish-red stigmas, maroon stamens and sheath.  A ring of bright yellow anthers is a great contrast the dark red flower color.  Nice deeply divided foliage on medium height plants.  Excellent.  Seed fertility with effort.  (unknown parentage).   Ships in late September to mid October.  AGE: Field grown, 4+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
