Wellwisher.  Irvine/Sutherland. 2001.  Advanced generation lutea hybrid. Seedling #: 111/7. Grown from seed produced from Bill Seid’s Lutea Hybrid hybridizing program and selected in New Zealand. The large semi-double flowers are creamy-yellow, overlaid with red and pink. Brushed flares are light pinkish-red.  Plants exhibit strong stems that are very hardy to changing winter conditions.  To 4 feet in height by 3 feet in width (Wisconsin).   Foliage is large, waxy and stiff.  Parentage: (SH35 x ‘Autumn Harvest’), SH35 is Golden Era x Chinese Dragon. Ships in late September to mid-October.  AGE: Field-grown, 3+ year old graft or division from larger plants – our choice of available plant material upon harvest.
