Yu Lan Zi. China. Chinese Rockii/Suffruticosa lineage cultivar. The name translates to ‘Purple Jade Orchid’. The deep red single-form flowers exhibit typical dark flares. Plants are robust and are taller than wide (5 feet high by 4 feet wide). Leaflets are small and often puckered. Hardy stems, even after adverse winter conditions. Showy and dependable.
