Yu Lou Cang Jiao

Yu Lou Cang Jiao.  China.  Chinese Gansu Mudan suffruticosa with P. rockii influence. Mid-size semi-double white flowers with maroon flares.  Flowers are highly variable in the number of petals produced within their flowers.  Flowers cup and are held upward.  A beautiful, slow-growing plant that exhibits very hardy stems.  Not easily propagated and takes time to establish, but it is not difficult to grow.  Plants grow to 4 feet in height and of equal or greater width.  Foliage is attractive for its fine and uniform leaflets.  Fertile both ways.
