Marchioness. Saunders. 1942. F1 lutea hybrid. Seedling #: 12739. Saunders’ Tea Rose Group. Amber tan single flowers, blushed with pink and red. Petal bases have dark maroon flares, which complement the soft petal colors. Beautiful foliage. No fertility noted, but reported to produce seed. Plants attain a height of 4 feet and a width of 4 feet in Wisconsin. Woody Peony Preservation Project Cultivar. Ships in late September to mid-October.
